This is a beginners class, but those with experience are welcome.
Watercolors - ever wanted to try it? Now's your chance! Join the "Birch Lady" Julia Jones and she will show you a fun, easy way to paint a birch landscape. If you don't have watercoloring supplies, she will furnish all you need. At the end of the session your very own signed original work of art will be placed in a mat ready for framing. No apprehension needed - anyone can watercolor!
A Material Fee of $5.00 includes all supplies & is to be paid to the instructor on the day of class. |

Water, water, water. In the land of 10,000 lakes, you will add one more; Painting your own private lake, where any one would love to swim, fish or just sit and take in the breath taking view. A lazy day at the lake. Learn how to paint a little Island with far distant shore & very wet looking water.

This class will teach you exciting techniques from "the birch lady" for painting on Birch Bark with watercolor and acrylic. Create a small artwork that you will frame in class - a momento of the North Country! Age 10 and up.

| Critique for Paintings in Progress - offered 3 times in August and 2 in Sept

Each class is 9:30am to 12 noon and cost $20.00 This 2-1/2 hour class is perfect for people who have been painting (any level, any medium) on their own and feel they could benefit from one-on-one feedback from an experienced painting teacher. Bring your painting(s) in progress (or just started) to work on using your own painting supplies and enjoy the camaraderie and encouragement of working in a small group with a dedicated teaching artist to address your specific needs. Be open to new approaches and practices and be the best painter you can be! This class meets every two weeks - come once, twice or all 5 sessions in August and September.

Enjoy the fun of creating a picture with seeds as your medium. Crop Art has been displayed at the Minnesota State Fair for a number of years, but not many classes are offered for this unusual art form. There will be patterns available or create your own. Beginners welcome. Register prior to class. There is no material fee.
