About Us - Who we are and what we do

You do not have to be a member of the Longville Lakes Arts Alliance to enjoy the Lonville Arts Center as a teacher, student or visitor.

The LLAA Membership year is Oct 1 to Sept 30. You are Invited to Join Us.
The Longville Lakes Arts Alliance (LLAA) was formed and started operating in 2007. We received our new organization status and became a private non-profit 501(c)3 in 2009. The LLAA's mission is to create an environment in the Longville Lakes Area where the arts and crafts flourish.

Our "Longville  Arts Center" is where arts and crafts  classes can be taken, and artists and crafters can display their creations.  Please stop by to see original arts and crafts items and the schedule of classes. The class description & registration information can also be found here by following the links at the top of this page.

There are at least four arts/crafts expos (selling/exhibiting events) in Longville, one each month June through September, with music and/or other entertainment coordinated with the local chamber of commerce.  Occasional festival and theater-type events are featured to augment the monthly expos.  Wine and cheese open houses at the Longville Arts Center occur from time-to-time in the summer and fall to allow artists, crafters, members and other supporters to mix and discuss arts and crafts in a friendly setting.  The LLAA newsletters along with the LongvilleArts Center.com website, keeps everyone informed and up-to-date on various activities and events. This includes all the latest classes at the arts center where persons can register online or at the studio.

LLAA extends its membership to artists, crafters and supporters of the arts/crafts including: fine artists, sculptors, carvers, sketch artists, oil painters, musicians, songwriters, theatrical performers, photographers, film/video artists, illustrators, graffiti artists, digital artists, poets, performance artists and other artists/crafters.

If you live, visit or summer in the Longville Lakes area and express your creative side artistically, or support and encourage those who do, there are many ways for you to participate.

Perhaps you are an artist or crafter who would like to share the fruits of your creative endeavors with the public at the LLAA's arts and crafts center in the "Gallery of New Creations" building in downtown Longville.  Or you are an area business owner with space to exhibit art.  Maybe you would like to host a house concert, support/participate in an art crawl, or volunteer at LLAA events.  Maybe you would  like to join as a supporting member, knowing that your contribution will be used to plan arts/crafts events and help create a thriving arts/crafts community in the Longville Lakes area...or maybe you would like to underwrite a LLAA sponsored specific event.

As a growing alliance of artists, crafters and arts/crafts enthusiasts, together we can accomplish anything!

Come create with us!
